The Centre of Innovative Pedagogies & Digital Learning (CIPDL, a branch of TLSS) provides expert consultation and support services to faculty (and external clients) in the development and implementation of technology-based courses (fully online courses, blended courses, etc.), online teaching and learning materials, multimedia materials, presentations or research publications. Our team is composed of educational designers, instructional designers, web developers, programmers and graphic artists.As part of the many services and initiatives listed above, this team of expert specialists offer personalized support to help academic programs and individuals at all career stages enhance their teaching and learning practices and foster a culture of sustained scholarly inquiry in all aspects of instructional innovation. In collaboration with the other departments and faculties we participate in the development of online courses, projects and events, which demonstrate the University of Ottawa’s leadership among Canadian Universities.

Working with companies, organizations and ministries in the Ottawa/Gatineau region for their continuing education needs and training in the areas of desktop application; leadership and management; development of trainers and coaches; professional effectiveness; project and process management; business intelligence; programming and web development; customer service; project management methods in Scrum and Agile mode and technology management.

Applying innovative thinking and skills of the 21st century, led the development of printed, digital and transmedia educational resources, as well as the production of online courses and training, mobile applications and serious games.

Led business development and sought out new markets for the CFORP suite of services including: Publishing; Communications and Marketing; Technological Support; Professional Training; Printing Services and Library Services (Ottawa and Sudbury).

Part-time professor at the University of Ottawa in the Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication. Lecturer on the Canadian media industry, media regulation and the impacts of new media on traditional media. I have also worked as a research associate for various academic publications and presented at national and international conferences, as well as being a resource person for Canadian media interviews.

In 1998, with the emergence of the web and interactive technologies, I was involved in the creation of a new department within the Ontario Educational Telecommunication Authority (TVOntario-TFO). As this new department had to be self-financing, I led its business development process and developed partnerships with forward-thinking commercial organizations including AOL Canada, AOL France and Bell Sympatico.

Produced educational television programs and documentaries with international partners including NHK, France 5 and the BBC.
