With Foproco we source merchandising items and technical components from Chinese suppliers for European clients. The team of 10-15 people in the Foproco office are in touch with several principals in Europe who are actively involved in the marketing of the advantages that China has to offer in terms of low cost labor. In Foproco we designed and built a web-based database application that allows effective communication on projects, tracking of orders, shipments and stock positions at various locations.In 2012 Foproco is incorporated in WACON and the sourcing activities focus on technical components.

As adviser to the HERO board I was involved in the start up of HERO's joint venture with Huishan Dairy in the Chinese IMF (Infant Milk Formula) market. State of the art production plant for IMF with the only 100% controlled supply chain (= 100% safe milk source) in China.

Set up the representative office for the Joint Venture between field marketeers Unisono and Campina-United dairy men for the (field) marketing of Campina's Birch Tree Milk powder (荷兰乳牛). Built up and train a merchanidiser / promotors team of over 150 people within 1 year and managed to increase consolidate Birch Trees market share to 30%.

I came into Kievit in 1992 (back then part of Hoogwegt Group) as export manager for non-European destinations. Kievit was (still) a small and dynamic company that just opened its 3rd spray drier that more then doubled its production capacity in spray dried (fat based) food ingredients. In the period from 1992 to 1997 we boosted Kievit's annual sales from 15,000 MT to over 75,000 MT. Successes in Europe and beyond and all thanks to a team spirit that til today I have never witnessed again in any company.

Lyempf was a subsidiary of Royal Wessanen and was Netherland's oldest privately owned (non-cooperative) dairy company with a rich history in exports. In my 2 years with Lyempf I had the opportunity to submerge myself (ao through extensive travelling) in export and distributors marketing in the colorful areas of Subsahara Africa.
