My journey began with a bachelor’s degree in biology, sparking my interest in the complex world of biological phenomena. To acquire a quantitative background to study them, I pursued a master in systems biology, learning to use mathematical modeling to dissect biological systems.Motivated by the need to back theories with cutting-edge experiments, I continued with doctoral studies, where I used advanced imaging technologies to study how neurons respond to olfactory stimuli and connect within the brain. I employed various machine learning tools and data analysis methods to extract insights from this high-dimensional dataset. This research helped shed light on how animal brains develop intelligence.Leading this project not only enhanced my scientific and technological skills but also improved my ability to manage and work effectively with a team.At this stage, I am ready to lead projects that combine computation and biology to create innovative solutions for life science challenges. I am excited to apply these proficiencies in the industry to help improve public health and welfare.
