Employers are often forced to make time-sensitive decisions on who to call based upon a limited set of information. Certain facts, skills, or experiences are left out in order to make the most competitive applications possible. Such applications tell you where a candidate is, but they rarely showcase the journey that the person had to take.So, here is my journey~At 12, I started weeding crops for my neighbor's farm and plant nursery. My first paycheck came on my 14th birthday after working full-time for our town's hardware store. Growing up, I've always found a way to earn my own; I've stocked shelves, nailed shingles, milked cows, or worked at our local brewery to one day break my family's cycle of breaking even.It's both an honor and a privilege to have been raised blue-collar, and I've been able to offer a unique perspective to both my personal and professional experiences. My education background in philosophy and political science reflects a research-driven and multidisciplinary coursework in tech, law, and current events. I'm excited to apply myself in a legal or educational role, and let my results speak for what my LinkedIn cannot.
