 Established the Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) Department for HIV/AIDS, STDs and TB in the Hospital, and formulated its mandate within the health service processes. Liaison person between the VCT department and the Federal Ministry of Health. Performed counselling for patient, and leading other counsellors of the VCT, including supportive therapy for victims of trauma, and disorders resulting from illnesses.  Led the VCT strategy, stakeholder’s analysis, setting goals, and operational policies, projects, and the M&E framework. Supervised the preparation and presentation of the periodical reports of the community service centers.  Hosted and demonstrated lectures in coordination with the Federal Ministry of Health on a periodical basis, for both non-physician medical staff and target groups from the hospital stakeholders and actors such as (Traffic Police, co-patients, people seeking voluntary pre-marriage test, ….) about the prevention of the HIV/AIDS, STDs and TB.

Provided counselling and supportive therapy for variety of cases such as:  Preparing patients for cardiac, chest, and neurological operations. Supporting patients having psychological disorders resulting from post cardiac, chest, and neurological operations, includes dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and hysteria.
