Using AWS to solve hard problems in tech.

Currently Engineering Lead for 3 teams on a Cox Auto initiative using AWS's PaaS offerings, Domain Driven Design, Microservices, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and a lot of other enterprise patterns to achieve our vision: Changing the way people buy and sell cars.Was the Manager/Team Lead for the Stockwave ( http://www.stockwave.com ) product for 2 years from concept, to launch, and 9 months of support post launch. Built using a newer stack of technologies including AngularJS and Elasticsearch; my team worked heavily with the product/UX groups and other BU's within Cox Automotive to deliver a sleek, powerful product into the hands of thousands of dealers, surpassing all of the sales goals at NADA 2016. I was extremely fortunate to be a part of such a talented team, where it felt as if we were a band of close friends working hard and supporting each other every day to deliver something we could all be proud of.

Worked with the GME game (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1451680/Game_Master_Engine/) as a consultant to the creator Dan Escobedo.Responsibilities include:- Added development best practices to the pipeline (backporting git/lfs as a vcs to the project)- Investigating and PoCing networking into the game engine- Working on various game features as needed- Consultation advice for how to best achieve the desired outcomes to reduce computational complexity, improve performance, and solve dev scalability problems with the game

Managing a small team of developers to build targeted applications aimed at a more modern technological field, such as Unity 3D/Android being used for business development. Our main focus is still the .NET stack space, but our goal is to service clients, and we'll do that with whatever tools are best.

Building systems which utilize the most appropriate tools (Netezza, Redis, Mongo, PostgreSQL, Microstrategy, etc.) to better serve our clients large analytics data needs in a robust manner.During this time I've been a lead for a very talented team of in house and contracted engineers to deliver products on 2-3 week sprint cycles, responsible for interviewing new talent coming aboard, and training new staff.A small list of things accomplished:- An engine for performing advanced predictive analytical calculations- Moved the team/company onto Git SCM- Designed and built a framework for .NET integration of Microstrategy API reporting, with performance as the major goal- A mongo DB Analytics bit map for lightning quick NoSQL Analytic resultsI'm fortunate to be a part of such a talented team that continues to challenge me every day towards the impossible (or at least, the very difficult).

Building multi-tiered custom applications for printing client partners which have a web driven focus. Current project is a custom web approval system which automates the creation and approval of hundreds of thousands of unique pieces of artwork. Major long term project is a custom EAV/CR system to manage every facet of a client's print business.All projects are built using DDD (domain driven design) systems using NHibernate as a persistence tier, C# as the model implementation, and MCV.NET as the UI. Tests are all in Nunit test framework and Git is the SCM.

Building a custom backend application for managing appraisals, appraisers, loan officers, title companies, banks, etc. Custom user defined workflow management system baked in for sending custom pdf emails out based on various state transitions with an appraisal.
