I am passionate about bridging the gap between research, policy, and practice. With more than 20 years of experience in the fields of health, economics, and public policy, I apply my expertise and skills to advance the development and assessment of health innovations that are aligned with the needs and values of society. I hold a PhD in Public Health from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and completed my postdoctoral studies in Health Innovations at Université de Montréal, Canada.My achievements include contributing to the theoretical foundations of Responsible Innovation in Health (RIH), developing and validating the RIH Assessment Tool, and conducting mixed-methods research with health innovation entrepreneurs and investors. I have also authored and co-authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, conferences, and policy reports. Prior to joining INESSS, I was a senior research advisor, a professor, a technical advisor, and an associate researcher in various academic and governmental institutions, where I developed and assessed health innovation policies and health technology assessment (HTA) activities.
