Growing up I didn't have much of an interest in Learning. I had no plans for college or furthering my education, I actually hated the thought of it. I never tried in school, did just enough to get by and graduate. The teachers did what they could to help me. As the saying goes, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". That was me, I graduated high school and moved out my parents house the same day. Thought I knew it all, had everything figured out. I told them all, "I don't need an education" or "you just watch, ill be rich and own my own house, car and everything else before you even graduate". As you can guess, I was wrong. I did very good for awhile, But I was very limited on what I could do, because I only knew so much. And what I didn't know kept me from reaching my full potential. I thought I was so much smarter then I actually was, and the when I finally acknowledged and accepted that.. After years & years of falling on my face, failing over and over again. It all clicked.. I had to fail in order to learn, it was my failing that gave me the desire to want to be educated. Embracing failure has been my greatest teacher, guiding me to a more successful future. It has taught me resilience and invaluable lessons that have made me into the man I am today, and will be tomorrow.
