Provide engineering design and consulting services for commercial projects including concept plans, platting, site plans, paving and grading plans, water and sanitary sewer plans and storm water pollution prevention plans. Design responsibilities include coordinating with municipal and state officials for design approvals. Experience in wastewater treatment plant design and permitting, including correspondence and interaction with TCEQ (TNRCC) staff during design/permitting process.Provide landscape and irrigation design for commercial and residential projects, ranging from school campuses and athletic fields to various size residential sites. Commercial projects included water harvesting facilities for storm water run-off on large campus sites. Project coordination with landscape architect/architect firm with computerized design and specifications. Residential designs provided for landscape contractors as part of design/build project, including emphasis on low volume drip irrigation technology. Design responsibilities include interaction with irrigation product supplier (Hunter/Rain Bird) at state and local level to maintain current product performance data.

Responsible for design, estimating and completion of landscaping and irrigation projects for Dallas-Fort Worth area landscape contractors, including irrigation system site grading plans and planting and erosion control.Administration of various size commercial and up-scale residential projects from initial estimating and bidding stages through construction completion and final inspections/walk through with project representative.

Responsible for the successful completion of flow monitoring and infiltration/inflow studies in Dallas/Fort Worth municipalities. Responsibilities include the management, adjustment and processing of computerized flow meter data using personal computer software. Also responsible for the supervision and scheduling of engineering technicians as sanitary sewer field surveys are performed. Field surveys include inspections, smoke testing and dye water flooding to isolate defects or cross connections in sanitary sewer mains.

Responsible for the design of Water and Sanitary Sewer facilities as part of adjustment contracts ahead of street construction. Designed Water and Sanitary Sewer extensions to accommodate areas being served by wells and septic systems. Experience with Water and Sewer Modeling Systems for the use of analyzing existing conditions or sizing future developments. Administration of construction projects from the initial stages of preparing construction plans and specifications to performing field inspections and preparing monthly estimates. Review subdivision and commercial development plans for conformance to specifications for Water and Sewer construction. Provide review and approval letters to consulting firms, issue contract documents, and determine development fees. Responsible for the preparation of staff reports for city manager’s office and city council use. Interact with developers, interest groups, and other city departments on various issues, perform research, and provide written responses to inquires.
