Current• Co-Founder of a software company that builds a product instrumental in managing over $100B in institutional assets.• Directly involved in pitching company and idea in order to secure initial venture funding for start-up expenses.• Lead Designer, Lead Developer, and Primary Architect of Alpha Theory’s Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to provide scalable, secure, multi-tenant, high availability tool for Institutional Portfolio Management. • Work directly with founding team, clients, Advisory Board, partners, business team, and technical team to conceive long-term product roadmap and business plan.• Hire, select, and directly manage diverse international technical team totaling up to 15 Developers, Network Engineers, DBAs, Third Party Vendors, and Testers across 4 countries and multiple time zones.• Investigated and identified a mix of leading edge, innovative, open source, and vendor-sourced software products and third party services that form the foundation of the Alpha Theory technical platform.• Lead developer, code writer, and code reviewer of all software components written in Java, JavaScript, Angular 2/4, SmartClient (Ajax framework), Lightstreamer (comet-based server), Open Adaptor (lightweight EAI framework), SQL Server (2005-2016), PostgreSQL, Spring, Hibernate, Acegi Security, and Ehcache.• Responsible for all initial and ongoing technical decisions related to Software, Hardware, Network, and Database infrastructure. Foster collaboration with technical team to make optimal decisions.• Designed Disaster Recovery architecture allowing Alpha Theory platform to fail over to remote data center to ensure maximum uptime.• Work with a wide variety of third party organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and JP Morgan to integrate external data into the Alpha Theory platform by means of EAI tools, ftp, file sharing, xml, and web services integration.
