After working in animal care and wildlife conservation for nearly 10 years, from my very first job in high school through working as a full-time zookeeper, I recently made the transition into facilities and administrative management. It has been an exciting time of learning and growth, and has been so fun to utilize all of the skills I learned from working in animal care in a brand new setting (especially time management, organization, patience and communication)!I hold a BS in Animal Science with a minor in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Natural Resource (MNR) from Oregon State University. My research specializations included composting and waste management, clean water efforts in urban areas, and human-wildlife conflicts. I look forward to being able to utilize my background in sustainability as I continue on in more corporate roles. I also spent many years as a campus tour guide at UMD, and have focused on public speaking and community engagement in all of my professional and academic roles.
