Used the knowledge gained in working to raise funding for the SaaS project to prepare other entrepreneurs for funding. Unlike many others in the marketplace, didn't charge absorbent upfront fees as the focus was on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of a business, how to solve them, how to set up businesses for long-term success and finally prepare entrepreneurs for engagement with investors. Most of the time spent with these entrepreneurs included writing (or re-writing) their business plans from scratch so that we had a road-map that investors could follow for their long-term success. Set up a three-step approached that included intro, overview, and plan which investors loved - was able to get every client an audience with at least two HNW investors.

Built a SaaS product that catered to B2B & B2C clients. Was able to put together all of the elements of (potentially) a $25MM business (experienced management team with industry connections, high end group of programmers, and a sales team that was able to get $50k from committed customers the first month). While the business was impacted by market collapse before we were able to get off the ground, was able to really learn how to work with investors, identify the strengths, weaknesses, and intangibles that they look for in a business. Most important, learned how to salvage opportunities.
