I'm a One Stop Shop Project Manager with NRG Panel. My role involves Home Energy Retrofits from survey stage right through to project completion. My experience working as a carpenter in the construction industry for 15 years has provided me with the skill set, knowledge and experience to manage various projects. Competent looking after numerous construction projects simultaneously, dealing with different stakeholders at all stages. I have an excellent understanding of the materials required for a complete retrofit, for example, ventilation systems, Solar PV systems, heating systems, Insulation types & building fabric performance. Competent working with SEAI, their grant processes, guidelines, and various schemes. Understanding U-values, HLI, HLC, backstops, weighted averages, grants, retrofit measures & report writing.Excellent communication skills. Accustomed to dealing with clients & contractors and their requirements daily.I completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 2023 and I'm currently doing a Higher Diploma in Residential Energy Retrofit Management in TUS Mid-West. This course looks deeper into the retrofit process and all the elements involved. The Residential Energy Retrofit Management programme enables building professionals to further develop their knowledge and skills to allow for a sympathetic retrofit design and deliver high quality, energy efficient retrofitting to existing buildings while complying with Ireland’s latest Building Regulations.I'm an experienced professional looking to continue my journey in the Retrofit/Renewables Energy space, eager to help improve the retrofit experience for all stakeholders, by using new technologies, software, surveying equipment, improving working relationships and continuously improving methods & processes. I spent 4 months on placement during the summer of 2022 working in Activ8 Solar Energies in the commercial team. This was a fantastic eye opener into the world of solar PV. I gained a much better understanding of the capabilities and benefits of solar energy. On the commercial team I communicated daily with commercial team & clients regarding quotations, data collection, pick lists and schedules for upcoming projects. Assisted with desktop surveys to help design solar PV systems that suited the needs of the commercial clients. Reviewing commercial consumption data in order to design the correct system.
