Update: We've closed our Rush Bowls restaurant in Charleston. We committed to the project in January of 2020, just before COVID became an issue. Between COVID and the current economy we had to make the difficult decision to close the store in March of this year. It has been a great experience and we made some wonderful friends. That being said, I still have considerable “gas in the tank” and would like the opportunity to continue making a positive contribution.I have been blessed and fortunate in my life to make a living doing the things that I love. As an Air Force officer and pilot, I gained aviation expertise while learning much about leadership and teambuilding. Early on I benefited from mentoring, training and evaluation and in-turn was able to provide the same for those who followed. I completed hundreds of missions, lead thousands of people and managed multi-million dollar budgets. It has been my privilege to build teams, large and small, successfully driving organizations to new levels of efficiency, performance and productivity through creation of collaborative cultures working in alignment to meet organizational goals. As a pilot with FedEx I was able to continue exercising team-building and mentoring skills leading small crews in Domestic/International Operations as well as challenging and complex airport environments. Noted for: Operations and Resource ManagementManaged budgets of up to $180M, as many as 3,000 people and $4.9B in aircraft/assets. Led process improvements in operations and HR that transformed aircraft reliability from worst to first in 90 days.Team Building and LeadershipSkilled in team and process development to achieve objectives. Provided calm, decisive, collaborative and focused leadership in organization startups, major transitions and critical situations such as terrorist attack response and hurricane evacuation missions.Pilot Training and ExperienceCompleted Air Force pilot training. Flew at the operational level for over 16 years advancing to the highest qualifications available. Extensive background instructing/evaluating pilots operationally and with formal USAF C-5 pilot training program. Trained/evaluated ~200 pilots, completed 1,000+ hours of Instructor/Evaluator time and 12,000+ total time. CompetenciesStrategic Organizational Planning − Operations Management − Leadership and Team Building − Project Management − Training Program Management
