Determines procedure for solving complex design, integration and analytical problems. Performs or directs scientific and technical intelligence analysis. Reports changes, trends and implications regarding design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation. Prepares briefings and reports on analysis methodology and results. Assist with Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and training programs for an Air Force client. Analyze a flying syllabus and offer improvements for efficiency using new technologies and improved processes.

Provides formal undergraduate academic and simulator instruction to Air Force Remotely Piloted Aircraft candidates. Instructs Air Force personnel on aircraft systems, Federal Aviation Administration procedures and Air Force operating policies focusing on instrument flying procedures. Certified instructor for the advanced navigation flying training curriculum. Administers academic testing and standardization and evaluation compliance for assigned instructor and student pilots.

Commands, leads, directs and manages an AFROTC unit that administers a college-level officer training program. Chairs Department of Aerospace Studies with university status of full professor; coordinates program with faculty. Responsible for Oversight of Pacific Air Forces programs, capabilities, force posture, analyses and lessons learned in the Pacific Area of Responsibility. Identifies requirements for future combat capability and shapes strategic basing initiatives in support of the US Pacific Command Commander. Provides objective decision support through analyses, assessments and lessons learned. Focal point for advocating the Major Command’s resourcing priorities through the $16.5B Program Objective Memorandum.

Commands fighter wing in absence of 8 FW/CC; provides leadership/guidance to 11 support agencies, 4 groups, 15 squadrons and 12 tenant units. Provides senior direction to Exercise Evaluation Team; commands battle staff during exercises and contingency operations.

Leads crisis action planning and program development for time sensitive issues throughout theater. Directs efforts of joint working groups to provide Combatant Commander and senior national leaders with options during crisis. Develops major adaptive plans and Operations strategy, plans, and policies supporting U.S. policies on India National Security Strategy relations. Coordinates with Joint Chiefs of Staff, Office of Secretary of Defense, and Interagency to develop strategy to support U.S. interests related to India. Publishes regional engagement planning guidance for command and Sub-Unified Command execution

Provides leadership to 48 personnel and ensures combat readiness of a 20 aircraft F-16CJ fighter squadron. Maintains capability to mobilize and employ worldwide supporting higher headquarters tasking in air-to-air and air-to-ground combat operations. Maintains combat ready status as Standardization and Evaluation Flight Examiner, Instructor Pilot and Mission Commander. Establishes training priority and allocates resources to guarantee 24/7 support to combatant commanders. Responsible for $725M in combat assets and annual operating budget of over $1M.

Provides subject matter expertise on Air Force operational issues and policy directly relating to air and space employment, concepts, and future Air Force Capabilities. Prepares and supervises the preparation of policy, studies, reviews, articles, briefings for general officer advocacy. Provides recommendations directly impacting Air Force strategy, doctrine, force structure, modernization, and warfighting. Operational expert, strategist, and lead planner in high profile, multi-functional Checkmate Division. Leads development of courses of action for AF senior leaders during crisis and actual hostilities.
