As the business grew and adapted (I joined when there were around 50 employees which later rose to around 600 in the UK, pre IPO), the landscape was constantly evolving and our product offering had to maintain its position at the top of the market, with rival companies frequently coming and going. One area that was quickly identified as a stand alone vertical was Live Events and Ticketing after I was responsible for bring onboard a major music promoter which led to the first major ticketing deal in early 2011 (7000 tickets sold in under a week for an outdoor concert). Having launched the UK ticketing business and advised other territories on how to do the same, by the end of my tenure our ticketing business was recognised to have sold over 20 million tickets in 4 years in Europe. I left Groupon as a Senior Business Development Manager within the Live Events and Ticketing vertical. In this role I looked after relationships with promoters, venue owners, box offices, ticketing companies in order to bring ticketing inventory to the platform. I personally gained many sales accolades within Groupon, including being responsible for 2 of the top 5 revenue generating deals in the UK of all time, created a number of national PR stunts and I won numerous international sales competition prizes. -
