I was born in Melbourne, Australia, where I have lived almost my entire life. After graduating from Assumption College Kilmore (High School) in 2011, I served in the Australian Army for one year in what is called the Australian Army Gap Year Program. During that time I worked as a M1A1 Tank Driver/Crewman which included making high stress situational decisions on a regular basis. After completing my service in the Australian Army, I joined the Victoria Police and worked as a Protective Services Officer (PSO) for 4 years. This role included protecting and serving the Melbourne community in the same way that a Police Officer would in the community, although PSO’s were designated solely to Melbourne’s Public Transport Network.At the completion of 4 years of service I changed roles becoming a Victorian Police Officer, responding to emergency situations in the community. During both these roles I was fortunate to learn effective ways to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I completed a further 3 years of service as a Victoria Police Officer. During this period I was offered a scholarship to attend the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana to further my education and play BIG-10 football. This is what has brought me to the United States of America. I have entered the Gies College of Business. I am focused on completing a bachelor degree in Business Management with a minor in International Business.
