I counsel large and small clients in all manner of disputes, from partnership break-ups to antitrust to unfair competition to intellectual property matters. Although I am a trial lawyer who believes that any good lawyer can try and win any type of case with being a "specialist," many of my clients have hired me to deal with specialized issues, such as valuation disputes, insurance coverage disputes, design and construction defects, accounting and financial disputes, and contract matters. I've even done high-profile divorce cases as well as international estates and trusts work. I and three other partners founded a litigation boutique that focused on providing clients with alternative fees, not just the billable hour. The firm became a nationally-recognized leader in alternative billing strategies.

I was lawyer number 20-something to join Perkins' Chicago office when Boeing moved its headquarters from Seattle to Chicago. I helped grow the office to 70+ lawyers while maintaining my national litigation practice. I served on the associate review committee and co-chaired the litigation department's technology committee.

I was a litigation associate, income partner and share partner while at the firm. I served on many committees, including the associate review and recruiting committees.

Assisted the judge in all aspects of pending cases, including drafting opinions, reviewing motions and preparing matters for trial.
