As CFO of Catalina Holding (Bermuda) Ltd.’s US-based affiliates, I direct financial and strategic planning, reinsurance operations, actuarial operations, GAAP and Statutory reporting; manage financial and strategic aspects of regulatory reporting, compliance, and relationship management. Prior position included CFO of two Risk Retention Groups owned or managed by Catalina. In this capacity, I performed due diligence research for potential transactions, resulting in the integration then management of newly acquired portfolios. These roles included responsibility for corporate strategy, operations, liability management, and technology integration. While CFO of National Home Insurance Company, Catalina’s acquisition took place. I managed the transition into runoff and ensured an efficient auction process which maximized the shareholder return and brought about finality at close for all contingencies. The operational strategy (which included finance, claims, IT) enabled NHIC to runoff successfully without unforeseen turnover.
