CurrentSupervisory Administrative Officer for the Texas Coastal Ecological Services Field Office and Corpus Christi Ecological Services Field OfficeServes as focal point for all tasks and activities dealing with budget formulation, budget execution, budget monitoring of $2.5M annual field office budget, and tracking end of year closeout activitiesPersonally perform and direct the acquisition of necessary supplies, equipment, and construction to meet the station needsEnsure that purchases are in accordance with Federal procurement regulations and within delegated authority and provide support for six station biologists working with government Grants and cooperative agreementsServe as the primary administrative resource on administrative issues for station managers and staffDevelop and maintain office Standard Operating ProceduresProvide advice and guidance to one field office supervisor and field office employees on regulations, policies, and procedures related to human resources managementPrepares or directs the preparation of pertinent Human Resources forms and documentsInitiate, verify and monitor electronic personnel action requests, concurrence and/or authorizations and associated back-up documents are submitted accurately and in a timely manner to Human ResourcesKeep field office staff updated on availability of training coursesResponsible for the timely and efficient planning, staging, timing, and execution of a wide range and variety of general administrative services, including but not limited to; computer installation, configuration, and maintenance and serving as the back-up office automation coordinator; telecommunication functions; space requests; building maintenance; telephone service; property utilization, survey and disposal; files, mail, and records management; travel back-up, time-keeping back-up, and other administrative functions as requiredProvide leadership for two office assistants who perform a wide variety of and administrative support.
