Started this role in April of 2017 with 8 direct reports in our electronics area. Responsibilities included:*Maintaining 95% OTD to customers (averaged 94% over 2 year span in this area)*Employee engagement - measured by survey requiring at least 80% favorable results. Had 88% favorable in first year with team*Safety - had only 1 safety issue with this team over 2 year span. Issue was counter measured and taken care of immediately *Quality - worked with our QE to sustain quality, Mainly impacted by supplier quality as opposed to internal*Revenue execution - executed to $1.6M/month I had a duel role at this time and was a buyer/planner as well as an area manager. *Practice continual improvement in inventory management for all 4 product lines I am responsible for via a Kanban based system. *Continually resized Kanban cards based on demand, lead time reductions and price cuts from changing order quantities. *Worked with suppliers to cut lead times by creating blanket purchase orders and creating an agreement for them to stock parts.*Create plans to meet and exceed revenue commitments in my product lines throughout the month. I did this by looking at what we could actually output in terms of capacity as well as what we have currently booked, projected bookings in month and potential pull ins.

Temporary Scheduling Analyst at Federal Mogul in Blacksburg.*Utilized an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to perform data analysis and coordinate with other schedulers to determine a production plan for 4 lines and 3 cells in the plant*Performed cycle counts on finished goods and work in process inventory to ensure inventory is up to date and accurate*Used Excel to help supervisors and the packaging coordinator better understand production run goals and estimated dunnage requirements*Interacted with customers and handled situations in which they need parts expedited *Supported the plant operators and managers when new ERP system went live*Used the 5S technique to organize and clean a supply room for 4 lines in the plant*Updated and maintained supply item inventory for the 4 lines (over 500 items)

Business Manager: Kept track of budget for whole camp. This included being in charge of all money coming in and out of REACH via checks and credit card expenses (kept all receipts). Used QuickBooks to keep track and do the accounting side of the business and to create, run payroll and print checks for all employees. Made sure all customers and vendors were happy in terms of accounts receivable or accounts payable. Learned valuable organization skills and how to interact with customers and vendors in a real business environment. Became more future oriented. Project Manager: Developed better leadership skills thru leading a team of 2 adults and youth group to completion of different projects throughout the summer (built back deck, repaired back deck and repaired front porch). Learned how to delegate tasks properly to get projects done efficiently and on time. Worked around daily issues that ranged from not enough screws to repairs not up to city code. Developed patience and learned that if you need something you don't necessarily need it right that moment. Learned the importance of relationships and what they can do for you. Developed better time management skills thru working on scheduling and working on two jobs at once (business manager and project manager).
