Artist, producer and educator 'Mazbou Q', also known as ‘ The Rap Scientist’ across social media. With over 500k followers / subscribers across Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube, I showcase a rhythm theory based framework for rap flow analysis and education. My videos have accumulated millions of views covering concepts like syncopation, polymetricism, displacement and a number of innovative propositions for rap flow specific concepts. I tutor rap for both hobbyists and professionals internationally, and have guest lectured at Harvard University, Berklee College of Music, Louisiana State University and Southern University. I featured as a keynote speaker at the Hip Hop Congress Conference in June 2024.Owner and Managing Director of Tāmaki Makaurau based audio production house UNCHAINED XL Production Co, specialising in cinematic / epic Hip hop with credits for brands like ESPN, Footlocker, Les Mills and BigPop. I'm also the senior mix and mastering engineer.As an independent artist and producer, I make conscious hip-hop infused with jazz, rock, cinematic and etho-music.
