Following Oracle's acquisition, took an opportunity to help a team supercharged for growth. The Value org had a deep body of experience in ERP value consulting, but struggled with reach, so we built a a more scalable and rep-friendly format. Ran the rollout and regional trainings. Sped up deal cycles and grew ASP.

With a wife going to business school, took a turn into Big Tech. Hired as part of a cohort launching a new business segment. Came to lead and close several of the most strategic deals on the East Coast and, in the process, attend, plan, and deliver months of sales enablement programs.

Nothing quite like consulting! Had a blast testing and refining my business mettle against growth-strategy engagements for the Fortune and Global 500. New products, new markets, new tech, investment decisions -- you name it, we won quick-turn engagements out from under MBB to do it. Got really good at using TLAs and putting shapes on PowerPoint slides in the process.

While off applying to graduate programs, had that path counter-offered by an opportunity to translate a successful German B2B energy services company to New England. Re-wrote contracts, secured funding, reverse engineered climate models, and closed the first three 15-year agreements.

Stop 3️⃣ on the pre-grad school tour. Developed tools for owner/operator of an award-winning web design studio to support data-driven decision making and generate management insight into the design and development process. What does that mean? Pricing tools, time tracking strategy, cost analysis, and more. Left to start the grad school process but somehow never managed to leave Maine! 🌲🏠

Stop 2️⃣ on the pre-grad school tour. Managed the omnichannel customer experience for a retailer of Men's luxury goods and apparel as they expanded into a new (and awesome) hospitality concept. Had fun experiences like on day 18 of 32 consecutive 14-hour days, called Troy Polamalu to tell him the 6 gold money clips he ordered won't arrive by the 25th. Merry Christmas. 🤶

Stop 1️⃣ on the pre-grad school tour. Learned how to work every position in a restaurant doing $14M in annual sales on a management team overseeing a staff of 70. In other words, at 21, find a way to tell the 20-year vet working the grill that he messed up the grill lines on a ribeye and has to re-do it... in the middle of the dinner rush.
