About Hugh Smith

My 25 years working as a Senior Software Engineer has exposed me to countless technical and professional challenges working on a wide variety of technical initiatives platform initiatives. Those initiative span a wide array of technologies and methodologies that include; Linux and Windows based distributed Services, Simulations, Proof of Concept and trail blazer applications, a variety of CPU and GPU platform initiatives, GPU hardware simulation, parallel hardware architectures, software-multi-threaded applications, visual computing, real-time rendering, developing custom libraries for procedural generation, storage device driver architectures, enterprise architecture performance tuning and architecture consultation, and development of tools, SDKs, plug-ins, and applications. I’ve done extensive mobile device application programming and have enjoyed several small Raspberry Pi programming tasks. My education bridges both Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering which makes me uniquely suited for software engineering tasks that require extensive interaction between hardware architects and system software initiatives.
