    Prior to joining Bernstein, Mr. Wynne was Vice President of Finance for ABB Energy Ventures, the private equity arm of ABB Group. Responsible for making private equity investments in and arranging non-recourse construction financing for major power generation and infrastructure projects around the world. My job was to evaluate the potential return on private equity investments in power plants and energy infrastructure projects globally; assess the associated commercial, legal and political risks; put in place the contractual structures to mitigate these risks; and raise non-recourse debt financing for the construction of the projects. Major investments and project financings included the privatization and 750 MW expansion of the TermoBarranquilla gas-fired power plant in Colombia, the privatization and 700 MW expansion of the Jorf Lasfar coal-fired power station in Morocco, the 275 MW integrated gasification combined cycle plant in Ancona, Italy, and a 480 MW combined cycle gas turbine plant in Monterrey, Mexico. ABB Energy Ventures also invested in and arranged financing for the privatization of the South Australia transmission grid.
