House of the Dragon (Season 1) 2022 - TV Series

DEMONHEART, second english movie (personal project) realised in co-production with www.millenium.org in the game World of Warcraft.Created by filming in-game actions and role play sequences with a marketing camera and some vfx tricks.More than 50 people where present on this project.The idea was to do a movie without budget and no material constraints just by using what the game purpose to us. But of course I needed to deal with the game constraints like preset animations.So we can see that as an exercise in style or a kind of director's training.It's the sequel of my first machinima movie "Pride" (96min). The difference with the first movie lies in the pre-production work. For this project I used in-game screenshots (took with an external camera tool) as storyboard to plan every shot of the movie (except combat scenes). It also helps me to work on the cinematography of each shot. I also introduced less characters to get a better follow of their stories and evolutions. The story is also more accessible to the people who don't play the game.So there are a lot of improvements since the first movie but, for me, there is a bad point : the story is too cliché. I will try to open some writing book for the next one to improve myself on this subject !For the released we organized a premiere show in Paris with a live stream of the event.And so the project was very well received by the community (285k + views on Youtube with english & russian versions). So well received that BLIZZARD decided to consacrate an episode on my work on this project of "The Fine Art of Fan Art", a video series focused on talented artists from the World of Warcraft community.
