Developed a decision-aid tool to inform end-stage kidney disease patients' decisions during therapy.Under the supervision of Andrea Lodi and Jonathan Jalbert.CERC website: cerc-datascience.polymtl.ca/• My thesis entitled 'Predicting Time to Next Better Offer for a Kidney Transplant Candidate Based on Marked Point Process' provides easily understandable and highly personalized waiting times predictions before future offers to a patient who is currently proposed a kidney graft. The objective is to inform him about his perspectives of future offers if he was to decline the current transplant offer. • Provode estimations of time before the next offer and time to the next offer with a better kidney quality than the current one.• Developed a Marked Point Process model: a stochastic process that characterizes both times of arrival and kidney qualities of past and upcoming transplant offers. Chose the Conditional Intensity Function approach to characterize the process. Thinned process with relevant factors to personalize to each individual patient.• Provode theoretical proofs of the methodology, and assessed performances on real data with a 20% improvement of the MAPE error score when compared to competitive methods.• Research included→ Modeling, coding, experiments in R and Python.→ Wrote a detailed 140-page thesis.→ Development and tests on real attribution system data furnished by Transplant Quebec, the provincial organ allocator.→ Research project in collaboration with CHUM Research Center and Transplant Quebec.→ Transfered knowledge : Deployment of the solution for real patients.• Coursework included:- A.I. and Deep Learning (Christopher Pal)- Statistical and Probabilistic Methods for A.I.- Statistical Learning Methods- Integer Programming (Guy Desaulniers)- Mathematical Programming- Stochastic Processes- Statistical planning and analysis of experiments.
