Multiverse is a $1.7B Series D EdTech company backed by blue-chip VC firms including Lightspeed, Index Ventures and General Catalyst. I held multiple finance roles over two years, reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating closely with other C-Suite members.As Head of Corporate development, I led the acquisition of AI skills assessment company, Searchlight (Series B), from sourcing to deal closing, which represented Multiverse's first acquisition into the AI market and in the U.S.For this acquisition, I directed due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration planning to ensure smooth alignment with Multiverse's strategic objectives.I also built a comprehensive market screening (100+ companies) that resulted in the acquisition of Searchlight and laid ground for future M&A / partnership activities.Finally, I developed financial forecasts and drove initial assessments for potential expansion into new geographies.

As Head of FP&A, I created and implemented Multiverse's long-term financial model, which enabled data-driven visibility to present and future KPIs and resulted in significant improvements to forecasting accuracy.I oversaw two annual budgeting cycles and led one workforce restructuring exercise, resulting in significant cost savings and alignment to the company’s long-term strategy.As Head of Investor Relations, I was responsible for preparing multiple Board materials and quarterly investor updates.

I spent a total of 8 years in Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Division (5 years in the Global Industrial Coverage Group and 3 years in the Latin America Coverage Group) and was rated AAA (Far Exceeded Expectations) or AA (Exceed Expectations) during all years.M&A: I drove deal execution, which included providing views on company’s valuation, preparing buyer / seller documentation, overseeing buyer / seller outreach, managing due diligence, and advising on negotiation. Selected deal experience included:- $670M sale of Alcoa’s downstream segment to Kaiser Aluminum; $200M equity stake sale of Braidy Industries to UC RUSAL; $350M equity stake sale in Colombian pharmaceutical firm Procaps to IFC; $1B privatization of power utility company Isagen.Shareholder Defense: I played a leading role in defending a major U.S. aluminum company from shareholder activism, preparing strategic responses to the client’s C-Suite that helped maintain corporate control and mitigate market disruptions.Equity Markets: I prepared Investors Presentations, and managed investor outreach, prospectus documentation, and regulatory filings. Selected deal experience included:- $550M IPO of Nexa Resources (NEXA) at NYSE and TSX; $100M follow-on offering for Largo Resources (LGO); $100M private placement for GridPoint Energy, facilitating a stake sale to Goldman Sachs and Shell Ventures.Debt Markets: Supported multiple debt issuances for Metals & Mining and Latin American clients.Other duties during my time at Credit Suisse included managing client’s relationships with periodical pitches and advises, mentoring junior bankers (staffer for 15+ analysts from 2021-2022), and being the group’s analyst recruiter leader.
