Hugo has extensive experience in logistics starting at Delft University where he graduated as Mechanical Engineer in Transportation Technology and Logistics at the container terminal of ECT. Working as a consultant and projectmanager for Tebodin for 10 years, Hugo extended this knowledge within projects where logistics, physical storage and distribution of goods was the key component. Within Vopak, he applied these skills and knowledge to improve operations within the liquid bulk industry and started to develop a generic simulation model for ports and tank terminals. When Hugo started his own company this generic model has been detailed further and used successfully many times to optimize tank terminals.Now, as an employee of Royal Haskoning Hugo is excited to be able to use this knowledge and experience in a wider range of markets by starting the “Logistics Consultancy” expertise centre together with other logistics experts.
