• The brief looked to identify a specific issue with gardening and lawn care and to design a new mechanical, non-powered Hand-Tool based on identified user-needs.

• The challenge was to design a Luminaire for a Fashion Retail Environment on a ceiling or wall mounted fixed position. Considering the ease of re-positioning, maintenance, fitting location and ergonomic/HSE issues with.

• Worked with Bentley’s car configurator team, which showed me how integral the designers role is in producing all the different specifications
• Developed a strong relation with the design team at Bentley and was fascinated at how they were pursuing the goal of managing Bentley as not just a brand of car, but as a lifestyle.
• This experience incredibly beneficial allowing me to appreciate and develop existing skills, as well as strengthening my designer aspirations.

• A small group of partners and myself established a company to design, manufacture and sell attractive laptop cases to a predetermined customer segment (students aged +16).
• Following an initial market research process, I led the team to create an extensive business plan to show how the company that was being built would differentiate itself from the competition.
• The outcome of this was extremely successful, not only to myself but to the charity that the significant proceeds were donated to.

• A business partner and I created a website aimed at retailing early versions of application software for Apple products.
• Worked collaboratively over the course of two years redesigning the website and expanding our customer base reaching clients around the world.
