I was the Project intern for press shop cell productivity increase project, and my activities were:• I Create a System for Tooling Inventory Control related to high volume Part Numbers.• High volume parts no. were designed in CAD software, simulated in punch press program NC Express, and samples were performed.• New standard work-related documents for machine set up, maintenance was performed, and operators were trained. • In order to reduce process and product variation machine, refurbish and maintenance were performed using RRCA.Result: Increasing 50% of cell productivity, using the second shift for new products in existing machines, supplier of those part numbers was not required anymore and we reduce by 50% cost in house mfg.
