Hugo is currently the Media and Communications Inclusion Coordinator for Community Living Oakville, where he is responsible for promoting inclusion and showcasing the talents of people with developmental disabilities through various media platforms. In this role, he works closely with the people supported and staff to develop content that highlights their accomplishments and shares it with the wider community. Hugo also secures opportunities for the people supported to advocate for themselves and have a voice at events and with media networks. Additionally, he hosts media workshops for people supported and staff to help them develop their skills, expand their reach, and promote inclusion. As part of CLO's marketing strategy, Hugo creates and coordinates all social media content, maintains the website, writes newsletters and media releases, and creates videography and photography that supports CLO's recruitment and marketing initiatives.Hugo has a passion for making connections and developing skills using social media and technology. Hugo spear-headed the social media presence for Community Living Oakville - leading to the creation of the award winning In The Loop Media program.Hugo's goal is to use the skills and knowledge he has attained over the years to educate, and encourage people to achieve their best performances and goals.
