I became fascinated with cybersecurity during my first year at Reykjavík University, where my final research project was a cryptographic analysis of the Bitcoin blockchain. The thing I enjoy most about cybersecurity is the challenge itself, diving into unknown territories and code in order to figure out in what ways they can be tested. I particularly enjoy tackling new assignments with no obvious solutions and the discovery of previously-unknown problems that can then be solved in new and innovative ways. At my previous job at Teatime Games, I was given the opportunity to develop my skills in the security field by testing the company's systems and patching weaknesses where found. As a result of this experience, I am currently most excited by the prospect of joining a red team but am open to any other interesting security opportunities.
