After almost two years as Vice-President, Professional Services and Vice-President, Innovation at Optel Group, Hugues Foltz was recently appointed Chief Strategy Officer at Vooban. Vooban is the fastest growing AI development firm in Québec City. As a leader in disruptive technology, it uses, among others, AI and machine learning to develop and implement innovative solutions in a variety of industries.Previously, Hugues Foltz founded Ellicom in 2002 and was at Ellicom's helm for 14 years. From 2002 to 2016, Hugues surrounded himself with key players in the training and technology industries with the goal of becoming the Canadian leader in e-learning. Optel Group, the worldwide leader in serialization and tracking solutions, was named Canada’s Business of the Year at last year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. At Optel, Hugues managed to assemble a strong team of AI and Industry 4.0 professionals to develop and deploy new services to Optel’s customers. Sitting on various boards of directors and having participated in several start-up projects, he has acquired solid management experience over the years. Recognized as a figurehead in the field of information technology, including AI and Industry 4.0, Hugues frequently speaks at major industry events to present his opinions, know-how and innovations.
