Cambridge Sludge Treatment Centre Relocation Project: £227million project to design a new wastewater treatment plant for Cambridge. • Conducted comprehensive design of the whole sludge treatment process. Created the site layout and generated the mechanical general arrangement draft.→ Skilled at carrying out the sludge/water pump calculations and sized the correct pumps.→ Carried out gas calculations to size the pressure relief valves for the digester tanks and gas holder and confirm the size of the gas line.→ Designed and reviewed P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Drawings), 3D models and suppliers' datasheets/drawings carefully.• Led option generation and selection for the heat generation and heat recovery system.→ Effectively designed and developed the heating system, including a boiler system, heat recovery system, and Low Temperature Hot Water system.→ Calculated the capital and operational carbon for each option to identify the more sustainable designs.→ Evaluated the heating system’s reliability and safety and analysed the performance feasibility to determine potential return on investment. → Successfully helped the client and key stakeholders select the best-value solution.• Was proactive in learning and researching new technology and I found ways to incorporate innovative technology, such as the heat recovery system, into my design.• Provided the technical support and guidance to others.
