● Review customers’ design (sheet metal/plastic/die casting products) with Creo and Solidworks and make recommendations for manufacturability (DFM).● Provide 2D and assembly drawings with Creo for the shop.● Create BOMs and part numbers with info from Agile and upload into SAP.● Work with teams in China for technical support, mass production, and hard tool FAI.● Review FAI samples and make sure they meet GD&T and cosmetic requirements. ● Create user instructions for SAP, Agile, and edit reports for value engineering.● Interview and evaluate candidates for mechanical engineers and train new hired.● Provide technical assistance for program manager when required.● Provide technical guidance or assessment in one or more product engineering disciplines such as design, development, assembly, and test engineering.● Decrease manufacturing costs and make recommendations for producibility (DFX and VE).● Design and order tooling for assembly process during prototype stage.

● Manage documentation and write instructions for Liquid Cooled Thermoelectric Solution (LCTS), an IC package testing machine.● Create a bill of materials for LCTS thermal head and maintain LCTS BOM and part number log.● Components modeling and drafting using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 and SolidWorks 2013. ● Communicate with the engineering team and the assembly team to define and review designs.● Help out wiring and assembly for LCTS system and insert pins in sockets.● Pack and ship components to customers.● On-site customer support, troubleshooting, and repair service.

Plan and coordinate events such as community service, care center visit, after school reading program, food and supply distribution, study group, etc. Keep photo journals and write articles for events.

● Simulated a non-premixed methane-air jet flame under the effect of electric field (high voltage) in microgravity using CHEMKIN and CFD software (e.g. PHOENICS with Fortran and Fluent) to analyze chemical mechanisms, heat transfer, ion concentration, and flame behavior.● Collaborated on microgravity combustion experiments and numerical simulation project with NASA Glenn Research Center.● Presented research projects at conferences and instructed lab fellows in research.

● Analyzed and measured the reaction temperature of a cylindrical burner using catalyst coating beads in a confined quartz tube with methane and air.● Applied laser combustion diagnosis (e.g. particle image velocimetry) and recorded images for premixed two slots jet flames with a CCD camera.● Made type R thermocouples and measured temperature of blended CH4/CO premixed jet flames.● Designed a high-efficiency and low-emission novel-catalyst-plating heat exchanger which could be applied to a gas boiler with scarce CO emission. The invention was patented in Republic of China.

Taught twenty 3rd~ 6th grade elementary school students math with interesting activities, games, and contests. Increased students' interest in math and improved their grades by 20%~30% in two months.
