The Program Head Coach is responsible for the sequential development program running vertical through the school from ES to HS as appropriate. Responsibility for program development would extend beyond the school teams to liaison with the various PE departments and activity program leaders.The program head coach is expected to;• To coordinate the selection of students to the various teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity and MS. Refer to squad sizes and selection criteria for WAB teams in the ISAC, ACAMIS, China Cup and APAC leagues• To ensure that the selection criteria for ISAC/CHINA CUP/ACAMIS/APAC events is adhered to.• To meet with the WABX Director / Assistant Director to finalize teams’ practice schedules and exchanges with local Chinese Schools • Conduct preseason coaches’ development session.• Demonstrate excellent training practices, assist other coaches in implementing good training practices, share training drills and ideas with other coaches• Ensure that the coaching program is developmental and progressive throughout the range of teams.• Ensure that the program curriculum contains a list of standardized terminology.• Ensure that coaches are coaching to the WAB Sport Specific Program.• Update the Program curriculum as appropriate to respond to new ideas and trends, changes in the laws and the resulting nature of the game, and also reflect the changing student body.• To ensure equipment is well maintained and forward any recommendations for new equipment needs to the WABX Director.• Prior to the end of April, submit an end of year report to the WABX Director which includes an update soft copy of the Program Curriculum.
