Lee Hui Lian is a registered Architect in Singapore, with over a decade’s experience in the design industry. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Masters in Architecture on a full NUS ASEAN Scholarship, and had a short stint at the Delft University of Technology in 2008. Since joining FARM upon graduation in 2010, Hui Lian has been involved in a range of architectural projects spanning residential, commercial, institutional, including those with conservation efforts. She is also active in designing museum exhibitions and galleries, having worked with major institutions such as the National Museum of Singapore and National Gallery Singapore. Several of these projects have garnered multiple design awards, including the Singapore Institutes of Architects (SIA) Design Award, the Taiwan Interior Design Award and the Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage Award. Hui Lian is also interested in design research and community engagement. She was involved in the curation of FARM’s BENCH project, a public furniture competition which gathered and produced designs from across the industry using timber planks from the seats of the former national stadium. She was also integral to the inception of FARMACY, the research arm of FARM, in 2018. Alongside FARM, Hui Lian has also recently started her studio, OMGA, allowing her to delve into personal projects and rekindle her love for visual art. She has worked with clients including the Singapore Association for Mental Health to realise curations of artworks.
