The Chief Operating Officer role was established in early 2023 to lead a companywide technical transformation to streamline the operations, lower cost and eliminate technical debt resulting from mergers and acquisitions in the past. • Led an 80-member team across various functions, including Product Management, New Business Development, Program and Project management office, Software development, IT Operations, Data Reporting, Technical Support (TV, Radio), People & Culture (HR) and Facilities. • My team led a successful acquisition of one of the most visited websites in Iceland (www.ja.is), strategic agreements with media providers (co-operation and license agreement with Viaplay), and the launch of new telecommunication and media solutions for both B2C and B2B markets. Examples of those projects were voice over Wi-Fi, eSIM, 10x speed internet, One number of multiple devices and Salesforce solutions for service and sales.• We transformed product development and project processes, ensuring focus and prioritization on value-driven initiatives. Implemented a cross-functional project process to ensure focus, the right prioritization and faster delivery of key projects.• We streamlined the IT organization, eliminating bottlenecks and accelerated the delivery of critical technical solutions. Implemented flexible software delivery teams we scaled with foreign contractors and used agile methodology to ensure focus and increased speed of software delivery. • Participated in a cross-functional sustainability management committee and program that focused on improving ESG processes and implementing related regulatory requirements.

Established in co-operation with other key leaders within Ossur a cross-functional sustainability program within Ossur that achieved carbon neutrality in 2021 establishing the foundation for carbon emission targets being validated by the Science Based Target Initiative. The program also started the journey of transforming Ossur products towards more sustainable materials along with mapping the carbon footprint of products.
