I am a 60 year old Hull woman, born and bred, who has a liking for anything to do with community activities and support and who has setup and run two, previous community projects.I enjoy singing and taking part in community events, either as a Volunteer Singer, within Theatrical Performances, Concerts and Festivals, with Hull's Freedom Chorus or as a Venue Manager for Assemble Fest.And for the past 6 years, I have been searching for a venue, as well as funding, for the proposed, non-profit community project Hull Active Community, to offer space for the development and setting up of activities, as well as events, including creative ones, open to all ages and abilities, either by local people or small individual businesses, that can be held within a local hub or a city centre venue or for existing citywide projects and as I had been offered both a city centre venue and an East Hull one and I was coming to the deadline for the Enterprise Allowance Scheme, to award HAC a small grant towards it becoming a social enterprise, which unfortunately Covid19 put a stop to, I'm now eager to gain funding or even sponsorship, to let alone cover the rental costs of any property offered, for between a 1-2 year lease, as well as setup and running costs and as I'd already teamed up with one other project, 3Cs, Creating Community Connections and have had enquiries, from 26 possible activity leaders, as well as a caterer, for a proposed beverage and snack, take out service, I am seeking leaders, who run existing activities or events or any proposed one, run by young people and adults, including after school and early evening children’s clubs and evening youth and adult activities or events.And if anyone knows of any funding that I can apply for or any venues, let alone projects, in Hull, that would benefit from the bringing in of activities or events or the chance for people to set up small businesses, please can you let me know asap.
