"The Student Advocate’s Office (SAO) is an executive, non-partisan office of the ASUC. We offer free, confidential casework services and resources to any student(s) navigating issues with the University, including academic, conduct, financial aid, and grievance concerns. All support is centered around students and aims for an equity-based approach. Our case trends inform office policy projects that push for more just campus policies and resources that prioritize and protect students' rights and general welfare.Our casework and policy initiatives support any and all student(s): current undergraduate and graduate students, withdrawn students, non-traditional students, incoming students, and recent graduates."

I collaborated with fellow criminal justice committee members to create a comprehensive "Know Your Rights" pamphlet that educates individuals about the scope of power held by the UCPD, empowering them with knowledge to effectively assert their rights during interactions with law enforcement. Additionally, I helped organize a speaker event focused on racial justice, bringing together community members to discuss the critical issues surrounding racial disparities in the criminal justice system and explore potential solutions to promote fairness and equality.

Responsibilities include: welcoming and greeting students, creating an inclusive environment for those visiting the EOP office, assisting students in scheduling appointments with EOP Academic Counselors, offering students information about EOP's support services, and ensuring students have access to the specific support they need to succeed academically and personally at Cal.
