As the Founder and CEO of April, I lead a team of tech innovators and local content creators who build engaging short form video campaigns and communities for real estate clients. My passion for user research and user experience design (UXR and UXD) drives me to create products and platforms that meet the needs and preferences of our users and customers. I'm a passionate DIYer and that lends itself to creating a culture at April that promotes rapid and focused testing, out-of-the-box thinking, and reflection.I graduated with a BS in Cognitive Science from UC Santa Cruz, where I focused on artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction. I also conducted research in human-robot interaction, value sensitive design, embodied cognition, and humor theory. I am interested in the creation of an affective synthetic intelligence with emotion comprehension and subjective states. I leverage my skills and knowledge in cognitive science, technology, and product development to innovate in real estate and to create tools and services that will be table stakes for the industry in the years to come.
