The department works with clients with concerns of mental health in terms of clinical testing and as well as counseling services. Mr. Manav has worked in the position of a counseling intern and handled one on one cases with clients having various mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, MAD, bipolar disorder, conversion disorder among others. His counseling sessions comprised of brief crises therapeutic techniques, coping mechanisms, an eclectic approach involving CBT, Humanistic and Trauma informed therapy approach.

I have worked here in the position of a fieldwork trainee in counseling, from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai as a part of 4th semester curriculum. My role here was to handle one on one counseling cases with clients referred from the psychiatry OPD. The session work comprised of crisis intervention, coping mechanism, risk assessment, an eclectic approach of CBT, Humanistic and Trauma informed therapy. The Post session work included making session reports, case presentation to the supervisor and maintaining the client follow up records.

I have worked here in the position of a field work trainee- Counseling and Observership, from TISS Mumbai, as a part of my 3rd semester Trauma-Informed elective curriculum. The psychiatry department here more inclined towards substance-abuse and deaddiction cases. My role here was to observe the case sessions in OPD and IPD wards under the official counselor and take group sessions with the IPD ward clients.

I have worked here in the position of field work trainee- Observership, from TISS Mumbai, as a part of my 2nd semester curriculum. My role here was to observe and make session notes of the cases in the Psychiatry department. The observership involved cases from Substance-abuse, deaddiction department, Child Psyhiatry , and psychological assessments conducted by the Mphil trainees.

I have worked here in the position of a field work trainee from TISS Mumbai, as a part of my 2nd semester curriculum. My role was focused on working with the mental health concerns of the students visiting the Transforming M Ward Library. I was working here along with my classmates in a group of four. Our work involved making mental health intervention modules and conduct group sessions of students based on it.
