CircuitLab - https://www.circuitlab.com/ - is an entirely web based circuit simulation and schematic capture program for electrical engineers, hobbyists, and students. I was directly responsible for building the front end user interface of the CircuitLab editor where users draw, edit, and run simulations on their circuits. I was also involved in building the web components that handled user registrations and circuit saving and management. As one of the co-founders of the company I was also co-responsible for the overall vision of the company. We were able to grow CircuitLab, for a small side project to a thriving community with more than half a million registered users. CircuitLab became the official embedded circuit editor Electronics Stack Exchange, and is currently in use at major universities and leading consumer companies.CircuitLab is written in Coffeescript and is the only circuit simulation software that runs entirely client-side in the browser. The backend and web server are Django / Python.

Pantelligent is a connected frying pan that helps you cook using a temperature sensor mounted inside the body of the body of the pan, and the companion smartphone app. Pantelligent was conceived in our kitchen, and as one of the founders I had the pleasure of being involved in every stage of its development -- starting from when it was just an off the shelf pan with wires and sensors glued to the bottom, past our Kickstarter campaign at the end of 2014, all the way to finished product sold on Amazon and around the world. Pantelligent was recognized as one of Times Best Inventions of 2015, and featured on the Today Show, CBS This Morning, Buzzfeed, and many other publications.One of the most exciting things about working on Pantelligent was the wide array of technologies involved including Java for the Android App, Objective C for the iOS app, Django/Python on the web font end, and embedded C in the pan. Shipping a physical product also meant we needed to do CAD design, rapid prototyping, interfacing with Chinese manufacturers, packaging design, shipping and logistics, and marketing.
