I'm Zoe Mae, a Year 3 English Literature Major with a Minor in Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore. I LOVE what I study. I enjoy examining how art, politics, and anthropology intersect to reveal the forces shaping social phenomena with a particular fascination for modernist literature and science fiction, which challenge conventional ways of thinking.My curiosity about people and the world fuels my love for storytelling. Lately, I have channeled this passion into creating documentaries and photo essays. In the upcoming semester, I aim to enhance my storytelling skills by focusing on short storytelling techniques and visual communication design.I find great joy in building and engaging with vibrant communities. At NUS College, I have been actively involved in several student groups, including the House Committee, The Quadrant Magazine, sYNCed Contemporary Dance, and the NUS Netball Interest Group. Additionally, I volunteer with youth-led initiatives such as Project Obscura and Bishan Youth Network.
