Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:- General preventative maintenance for buildings, structures, machines, lawn, and vehicles on property.- Repair and maintenance of commercial washer and dryer units.- Installation and repair of appliances such as: sinks, toilets, sink faucets, bathtub faucets, and wall-mountedair conditioners.- Maintenance of ice machines and other small motor appliances.- Refilling water softener salt for hotel water.- Plumbing repairs as needed.- Installation of copper piping.- Repairing and maintaining rooftops as well as fixing and preventing leakage.- Maintenance of small motor vehicles, IE; lawn mowers, push mowers etc.- Pool cleaning and preparation.- Fabrication of parts needed for repairs.- Painting and cutting in for room redecoration.- Drywall and texture repair.- Replacing malfunctioning timers, switches, plugs, GFCIs, light fixtures, fans, and other electrical apparatus.- Waste collection.

Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:- Open and friendly engagement with members of the public as a representative of the Forest Service.- Actively participate in teamwork with a group of skilled individuals.- Answer question post by members of the public, such as: "Are dogs allowed on this trail?", "Where is agood place to camp?", "Do you know what condition these trails are in?", as well as other general queriesabout district resources.- Safety and trail compliance checks with active users of public land.- Maintaining the established amenities at trailheads.- Installing and ensuring the maintenance of signage on the district.- Scattering and extinguishment of unofficial firepits on trail and trailheads.- Taking preventative measures in order to maintain the untrammeled land within our forests.- Mixing and pumping fuel for two-stroke engines.- Daily duties accomplished by using the following tools: Polaski, McLeod, pick mattock, Adze hoe, shovel,lopper, brush saw, crosscut, chainsaw, Silky saw, and hand saw.- Experience in the refurbishment and maintenance of the following tools: Polaski, McLeod, pick mattock,Adze hoe, shovel, lopper, Silky saw, hand saw, crosscut, and chainsaw.- Experience in the collection and disposal of human biohazardous materials (I.E. feces, needles, or othercontaminated materials) as per policy guidelines.- Knowledge and experience in long day hikes both on trail and in the Wilderness.- Knowledge in the setting up and activation of ARU's (Audio Recording Units) in the field, for wildlifepreservation purposes.- Cross-organizational cooperation with the Washington Trails Association (WTA).- Experience working with crosscuts and chainsaw in the field.- Experience in the analyses of trails and the requirements needed to keep them functional for public use.- Experience in arduous hiking in hazardous environments.- Knowledge and experience in the use and creation of maps in the ArcGIS program.
