Starting at age six, I begged my parents each year to let me suit up in pads and play the game of football, but they never gave me the green light. I became a cheerleader to just be close to the game. As I grew up, I continued to develop a love for the gridiron and found myself glued to every channel that involved a pigskin. I went to college to initially to study Broadcast Journalism with the intentions of being a sideline reporter. Though, I quickly discovered the vast operational world within the heart of a football program, and decided to take my talents away from the mic and camera, and towards the organization, management, and functioning of a football team.I pried the door to this journey open with my start as an Equipment Manager, embracing the unforgettable smell of dirty laundry, the lasting sting from the ball on my hands when the offensive coordinator asked me to warm up the quarterbacks, to grind of managing drills and scripts at practice, and all the other glamour outs duties that came with this role. In all it’s quirks, the game had charmed me.I landed on a gold mine when the Director of Football Operations gave me the opportunity to be his first ever undergraduate assistant for the next year. I was blessed to learn from one of the best in the business that provided me with an extremely hands on learning opportunity where I gained priceless lessons and nuggets of wisdom that would lay the foundation for the established woman in football that I am now.Before I knew it, I had my hand in numerous departmental buckets within our football program. With my exceptional passion, my eagerness to constantly learn, inspiration work ethic, and highly effective communication skills, I quickly moved up the field to score a graduate assistantship, that lead to my first full time job as an assistant director of on campus recruiting in less than a year. Now, I’m extremely fortunate to be a Nittany Lion where you will find me in Happy Valley working directly with coaches and staff to formulate unbeatable communication tactics to recruit the top prospects in the country!
