One of two GSOs at the Joint Management Office for Tri-Missions Vienna which consists of the Bilateral Mission to Austria, the US Mission to Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (USOSCE) and the US Mission to International Organization in Vienna (UNVIE).* Directly supervises 22 locally employed staff and oversees Procurement/Contracting, Property Control and Expendable Supplies, Customs and Shipping, Motor Pool and the Visitor's Unit.* Act as a backup to the S/GSO and assists with the identification and negotiation for new short term lease housing.* Works on several multi-million dollar real estate projects, including the first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to redevelop government owned property in exchange for new housing and the move of the USOSCE Mission to the same location as UNVIE.* Spearheads the Embassy's "greening" efforts, including the procurement, organization and management of the Embassy's electric vehicle fleet, the largest in EUR bureau.* Acts as Post Language Officer.
