In this role, I serve as a peer educator and mentor by providing direction for student learning and academic success while assisting with the coordination of the development of a co-educational residential community. While being an RA, I facilitate an inclusive community that fosters academic and personal success, and I help individuals with personal needs and concerns by developing one-on-one connections with students. Additionally, I serve as a resource for residents, respond to crisis situations, and uphold the SLU Housing and Residence Life policies. I act as a mental health first-aider by responding to situations of mental distress. I consistently collaborate with the Department of Housing and Residence Life Central Office and divisional professional staff to meet the varying needs of residents and the community.

While working at SLU Hospital in the Emergency Department, I have developed a passion for working in healthcare. I have worked with various physicians and clinicians who rely on me to prepare and assemble medical records and documentation. While it is important to maintain prompt and organized responses during this fast-paced work environment, it has also been an opportunity for me to gain exposure in my desired career as a physician.

While working at Topgolf, I demonstrated professionalism while providing welcoming guest service. I also displayed leadership and maintained dependency in stressful situations. It was crucial that I communicated and collaborated with other servers, bartenders, and managers to promote an excellent guest experience. Topgolf is a very high-paced work environment that taught me how to handle multiple tasks at once!
