As someone who has a passion to see others excel and develop, I have found so much joy in the field of teaching. Whether it is teaching dance and enabling girls to develop technical skills and encouraging moments of raw talent or leading my peers around me to aim for excellence and give them whatever support they need on the way to reach their goals. My heart lies in either the small or large moments of development in myself or others.While at North Carolina State University, I have experienced countless of opportunities that have challenged me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of. Some of those highlights include becoming part time staff with CRU my senior year. This enabled me to serve alongside of some remarkable mentors and reach the students of NC State who hold a special place in heart. I also saw tremendous growth through my work at Camp Caswell on the BDT staff. Spending a summer ministering to up to 1,000 students per week and intentionally creating relationships in order to aid and encourage them. Some of my strengths are achiever, relator, and positivity. I have seen these drive the way I interact on a team, on personal projects and goals, and in my career. As my achiever tendencies drive me to get things done in an opportune manner, my relator and positivity qualities allow me to help others along the way while extending encouragement, even when things are not going according to plan.Currently I am looking forward to continuing teaching at Expressions of Worship Dance Studio, and after graduation will take on a role of manager and owner there. I am very excited for all the opportunities this will create and all the future endeavors it will prepare me for.
